Ha. Caught you.

I read The Miner's Daughter last year, so the cover of After River caught my eye at the library. Oh, stock photography.

  2. Tsk tsk....although it'd be cool if one was the girl, to see yourself on two books. :)

  3. I'm terrified that when I finally get my first book published they'll pick a completely wrong cover for it, and one that's from stock photography, and that can be found on several other books.

    Terrified.

  4. At least the second one attempted to change the picture around a little: zooming in, fading the colors, etc. :)

  6. I just keep wishing the publishers would use MY photos for MY books. Then I would not be placed at similar risk.

  8. Whoa! That's so funny you caught that! I guess they thought no one would recognize it if the image was flipped. ;)

  9. that is soo lazy. when i did work experience at a publisher's, they did use stock photography but never as is.. they would always add stuff or insert bits into a photo they took themself or change the colours etc..
