  2. Love Moriarty.

Not so keen on Company of Swans. Do they ever leave the bedroom? No. Now, Countess Below Stairs is my kind of Ibbotson. :)

  3. I know this isn't related, but I love your new header! It's so gorgeous!

So many people (including me, hee) seem to be changing their headers.
First it was snow, now it's headers... *shakes head*

  7. 7 and 8 = sheer awesomeness, 8 in particular, as I was in a Shakespeare class while reading that book :-)

  8. Yay for #7!! :D I loved #6. It was similar to Because of Winn-Dixie, yet more depressing but more poignant. How did you like it?

  9. Marie - Thanks! :)

Noel - Agree. I'm glad to hear Countess is better, because I don't want to give up on Ibbotson's YA.

Maya - Thank you! It's actually from San Francisco.

Traci - Isn't it such awesome?

Ballerina - Those two I both gave five stars on Good Reads. Do!

    Erin - I loved it.

Edge - Ooh, that'd be a fun coincidence. I did wish that I had read more of the plays that he read with Mrs. Baker.

perfectgoodluck - I really liked it too. Seriously skillful writing.

  10. And how about The Tiger Rising (a book we chose when we judged the 2001 National Book Awards YA selections)?

  11. Beth - I thought the prose was just lovely, and the story was very skillful and thoughtful. Also, Sistine is probably one of my favorite fictional characters (and I am in love with the story of her name!).
