it caught in my mind because I am already noticing the turn towards autumn. as beautiful as fall is and as winter can be (until about February 1st...hah), it always saddens me a little to watch the days shortening, the light lengthening, the trees baring. very poignant, is autumn, in that "tears for passing things.../things mortal touch the mind" kind of way, or: "leaves, like the things of man, you/with your fresh thoughts care for, can you?"
you know what I mean?
so, here is the tail end of the summer pictures.
still working on staying aware of the depth of field thing...heh.
wanted to see what would turn out if I held the Holga wide lens over the normal lens on my Zenit.
Handmade bread and fresh summer fruit and hands and sunlight: this one makes me happy.
note the little handprints in the dust on the seat.
That bread is making me hungry. Even as I eat.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing such great work. You are learning the camera in ways I never have. You are in possession of knowing.
ReplyDeleteoh I fall is my favorite...I love the pictures about the market type place...looks friendly.
ReplyDeletegeekspawn - I may be a bit more of a carb-lover than the average person, but I still say absolutely--there is NOTHING like fresh homemade bread.
ReplyDeleteBeth - Oh, Beth, thank you so much. I really do want to get skillful with the tools.
pinkapplecore - farmer's market in town here on Saturdays. I shall be sad when it closes for the winter.
This is sad and comforting at the same time. Much thanks.
ReplyDeleteEdge - well, that is the way writing makes me feel--still sad, but comforted--so, good. <3
