Thanksgiving was like this

first I hosted

then we drove

there were dear kittens

lovely siblings-of-my-friend

we celebrated in a big house on the prairie

(I wish I'd been thoughtful about this light, sigh)

and then some more in the suburbs

Additionally: hymns / parents / grandparents / slouching / pie crusts / hummus / tea / tea / reading aloud...

You can see my hostfriend Noel's pictures here.

  3. kittens! hummus!

your photography/art is lightly inspiring (I mean in a light way, but I'm not actually specifying intensity... capisci?) and always a delight to absorb.

  4. Ya, but your photographer eye caught them. They really "go" with the foliage outside the window. That's the magic of being an artist, taking something really, um, wow, and making it into a moment in a story. If you had just taken a picture of the curtains, it wouldn't have been as meaningful. Good eye, my girl, good eye.

    xo,

  6. verra lovelee.

ha, every time I see Tigs on that pink camo, it makes me laugh.

(ah, but see, your quickness to snap us, disregardless of light, actually captured the true way that younger sisters are ever in the shadow of their older Katerinas...)

    Have you worn purple lately?

  7. Mm, series like a gust of autumn air. Lovely.

  8. Noël - You know, I realized that my purple is mostly from a few years ago, and that I've been drawn more towards orange/goldens and pinks in recent months. Are chakras allowed to trade spots in the hierarchy of strength?

Hehe, I thought about that too. Elisabeth doesn't seem like the type to fall in shadow, though! (But which Katerina?)

Jenica - Thank you! (Autumn air, sigh.)

  9. for sure, color therapy is all about neutralizing imbalances. so, yay! you've improved your purple, but in the meantime, orange (I feel) was left behind. ;)

  10. Noël - (Ugh, I've been craving 10 Things I Hate About You...) What that site said about orange actually resonates to a ridiculous extent. Will expound in letter.
