My mall got a photobooth machine. And I saw Amélie a few weeks ago. So I sort of had to use it. Even though it imposes bad fake film strip borders.
I hang out at this mall sometimes. I wear my mall shoes and I sit on their furniture and write or watch an episode of something on my tiny iPod screen. It's better than a coffeehouse because you don't have to buy anything. It's got big skylights and shiny marble, and it's moderately quiet. And essentially free of distractions for me, since I don't enjoy shopping.
Anyways. I'm trying to decide whether I'm going back to my same college on Monday, or if I will do something different (again). The main reasons for not returning are 1) the social environment slash campus culture consistently turns me into a total wreck, as I have been reminded this week, and 2) I just figured out that the way classes in my department are scheduled, I need to be on campus this fall, this coming spring, and spring of 2012 in order to finish my degree. Which is really stupid, especially when I could have enough credits to graduate this May.
Not returning would leave me without plans for this semester, though. It's too late to register for classes and too late to apply to the nearest CSU even as a spring transfer. The prospect of having to improvise the next two semesters slightly terrifies me, and I'm tired of losing time; I want my degree.
My current state of mind is: muddled and a bit freaked out.
i love you, dear. everything will work out just fine. you can spend time at my house this semester. :]
ReplyDeletehobbit - thank you, my dear friend. I needed to hear that.
ReplyDeleteHang in there! I'm sure things will work out for the best. Often a bit of 'unplannedness' is refreshing, and you may just learn some valuable lessons. And now I sound pompous and pretentious, so I'm going to shut up haha.
ReplyDeleteRaquel - Hee...I'll take it in the best non-patronizing way possible. Thanks.
